AI Knowledge Chat in Discovery transforms how users interact with their curated content. Instead of manually digging through reports and datasets, users can select a curated view and ask natural language questions to receive instant, context-aware answers generated strictly from that selected content. This ensures focused, reliable responses while keeping insights grounded in the data that matters most. With real-time filtering and guided validation, AI Knowledge Chat makes exploring Discovery faster, more intuitive, and dramatically more efficient.

Set Up instructions

Set up the readme files in the Objective 3Sixty Project

These instructions include:

• Setting up the remote agent

• Setting up the RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)

Create a job

  1. Create a remote agent authentication connection using your RAG remote agent

  2. Create a job with the 3Sixty-RAG remote agent as the Output Connector

  3. Add a Content Service connector to the job

  4. Add a Tika Text Extraction task with the Tika Content Field set as content

  5. Add an Index User Groups task, and include user or user groups who can access the documents.

  6. Fill in the Output Job Specification with your 3Sixty-RAG details

  7. Create a Content Search Connection for your 3Sixty-RAG remote agent, and

    • Fill in the Connection Configuration tab, also

    • Filling in the Collection field in the Search Configuration tab with the index you want to search on.

    • Be sure to link your authentication connection as well.

    • Turn on Restrict and allow authorized users and user groups access to the Index if enabling security features.

    • The Description field is used as a display name for the Knowledge base.

  8. When the job runs, it will index the metadata to the specified index.

  9. Then, in Discovery, you can access the Knowledge base, with the list of RAG indices populated based on your RAG search connections.

Using AI Chat in Discovery

  1. From the Discovery dashboard select AI chat

  2. In the curated content drop down, select the data set you want to ask about.

  3. Begin chatting with AI by asking questions about the indexed content.

*Note if governance has been set up, users can only ask about content they have access to.
