Upload documents or files

You can upload and attach files (documents and images such as photos) to an application prior to submission, to a request from a BCA such as on an RFI response or against a required document, and as proof of payment for a direct transfer payment.

Note:  You cannot currently upload documents that have not been requested by BCAs (through RFIs or required documents)

Note:   Some BCAs do include a Miscellaneous required document category that applicants can use to upload other documents. This varies between BCAs.

When uploading files, you can add PDF files, or you can add JPG or PNG image files and the system converts these to PDF.

  • Applications: You must attach files to support your application for building consent and for most other supporting applications.

  • Payments by Direct Transfer: You have the option to select I have made this transfer to record payment details and attach proof of payment.

  • Required documents: You can upload one or more files to a required document for acceptance by the BCA.

  • Requests for information (RFIs): You can upload one or more files to your response to an RFI and the system merges these to a single PDF.

As you upload files, the system performs a virus scan of each file. If any issues are found during that scan, the system blocks the file and you must remove it from the list of selected files.

Upload multiple files to an application

If you upload files with the same filename, Objective Build replaces the existing file.

To upload documents, you can drag and drop files from your file explorer onto a section or select browse to open your file explorer and select the files to load.

Change the order of uploaded files

Objective Build combines the documents for each section in the order they appear in each section.

Drag any document to change the order of the documents within each section.

Remove documents from an application

You can remove documents from a new application form or from a new RFI response where the application or RFI round have not been submitted to the BCA. You cannot remove documents that have been submitted.

On the document, select ... | Remove. This removes the uploaded document from an application or an RFI response.
