Starting an application
You can start an application in three ways:
-
Use a standard form to create a new application - using the appropriate Objective Build form and adding the required information. For amendments and supporting applications, you then select the existing consent and Objective Build passes all the relevant information from the selected consent into the new application.
You can quick-start an amendment or child application by selecting Apply for... in the Actions menu on an application or consent.
-
Duplicate an existing application - Objective Build creates a copy of the existing application but removes project-specific information: owner, agent, address and any documents relating to proof of ownership.
-
Use a template - templates can be pre-loaded with standard information and documents, so you only need to add your project-specific information and documents.
Quick start an amendment or supporting application
To quick start an amendment or supporting application from a consent (after the consent has been issued):
-
Open the parent consent to access the Actions menu.
The options available depend on the stage the consent has reached in the building consent process. Once the consent is issued, then you can apply for amendment, extension of time and code compliance certificate.
-
Select Actions | Apply for amendment, Apply for extension of time or Apply for code compliance certificate.
The system opens the new child application form to the first step and prepopulates appropriate content from the parent consent.
