Assign roles to a person

When you add someone to an application or consent, you may identify the role that they play in the application process and the type of access they have to the application.

You may not remove the Agent, Registered Owner or Invoice Payer mandatory roles. Instead, you must transfer them to another participant on the application. The system will ask you to confirm the transfer of the role. The system notifies a participant when a mandatory role is assigned to them.

You must have Manage level access to assign roles, unless you are the Registered Owner. The Registered Owner may always reassign the Agent role to another participant.

To assign roles to a person

  1. Add the person as a participant on the application or consent.

  2. Select ... | Edit participant to open the Edit a participant dialog to the Roles & access step.

  3. Select the role to assign.

    If the role is a mandatory role and the role is already assigned to another participant, the system alerts you to the reassignment of a mandatory role.

    Select Continue to confirm the reassignment.

  4. The system adjusts the target participant's access levels to the minimum required for the selected role.

  5. Complete each of the remaining steps and select Finish.
