Describe the building work for the amendment should include a description of the work covered only by the amendment.
Will the amendment change the estimated value in the original application? Select Yes if the amendment work will affect the estimated value of the total building work.
Will the building work include any restricted building work? Select No if there is no planned RBW.Restricted building work is work that’s critical to make a home structurally sound and weathertight. You must use Licensed Building Practitioners (LBPs) to design and carry out this work. LBPs are registered and required to keep their skills and knowledge up to date. LBPs are licensed for the type of work they do.
Select Yes if the project includes residential design, construction or alteration work that:
requires a building consent
and involves or affects a home’s:
primary structure
weathertightness
certain fire safety design
or any of the planned work will be carried out by the owner of the property

Will the owner of the property carry out some or all of the restricted building work? Select Yes if the owner will complete some RBW. You will need to complete a Form 2B Statutory declaration as to owner-builder status form, available from your BCA. The form must be signed and witnessed. You must attach and submit the completed form on the building consent. This option is available only if Will the building work include any restricted building work is set to Yes.
Enter the change amount is the amount to complete the building work covered by the amendment only. For a reduction, please enter a minus '-' before the amount, such as -3500. The amount must include GST. Authorities use this amount when determining the building levy the building owner or developer must pay.

Work on a building or site with any cultural or heritage significance should be selected when the proposed work affects a historic place, historic area, wāhi tapu, or wāhi tapu area that has been entered on the New Zealand Heritage List/Rārangi Kōrero, as required under Section 39 of the Building Act 2004.
