Book an inspection

Inspections are booked directly with your Building Consent Authority. Your BCA may configure a link to their inspection booking system available from the Actions menu on your application after your consent is issued.

When a consent is issued and the BCA on the application has specified an inspection URL, then the system displays a Book inspection option in the Actions menu on the consent. When you select the Book inspection link, the system opens the linked website page in a new browser window.

If the consent has not yet been issued or if the BCA has not configured a URL, then the system does not display the Book inspection action.

BCAs provide a schedule of fees and charges that shows the costs of inspections. Please visit the BCA's website to view the schedule.

Note:  Licensed Building Practitioners (LBPs) must have their license on site at the time of the inspection.

To book an inspection:

1. Open the consent by selecting it in the Consents list.

2. Select Book inspection from the Actions menu in the right side panel. This is displayed when your consent has been issued and the BCA has provided an inspection booking link.

   The system opens the linked page.

3. Use the BCA's inspection booking service to complete the booking.
